Dean's Corner

Dean Larry Benefield

This year's homecoming BBQ was the college’s largest ever. More than 300 alums and their families joined us under the tent in the Kingsley Courtyard to visit with old friends and meet some new ones. For many it was their first chance to check out the new Shelby Complex and Carroll Commons area. Guests also had a chance to chat with members of some of our student organizations including the Cupola Engineering Society and Society of Women Engineers, as well as the SAE Formula and Baja, autonomous lawnmower and solar vehicle teams.

Check out the photo gallery from the event.

As Auburn Engineering pursues new levels of excellence in engineering education, the contributions of our alumni and Keystone Societyfriends become increasingly important; in particular, the unrestricted gifts of our Engineering Keystone Society members. These gifts enhance our ability to take advantage of emerging opportunities that make our programs competitive with those of prestigious institutions nationwide. Just as a keystone upholds an arch, the generous gifts of our Keystone Society members provide vital resources for exploring avenues that uphold and strengthen the college’s vision.
